Preparing for the interview questions

We are going to see Biggby Bob tomorrow at the "Spot Bob" Event. He is the CEO and co-founder of Biggby Coffee. His blog is linked to the side over there. ------>

Bob likes to ask people a few of the same questions so I am preparing my answers, so here goes:

Bob: What is your name? ** Nigel: Nigel T. Monkey

Bob: What is your shoe size? ** Nigel: Your concerned about my shoe size when I am not wearing any pants? Well, if you really must know it is one-tenth

Bob: If there is one thing about Biggby you would change, what is it? ** Nigel: to finally get the "official" button I have been asking for. I have a bouncy ball, I have a Kazoo, Naner Lady made this button, but on want one from you. Oi, that was almost poetry.

Knight's Restaurant

This is my second time to this restaurant, and the service was much better this time. If you like meat this is a good place to eat, they get all their meat from Knight's Market were they have a big meat shop.
The area inside is a bit outdated and dark, but they had Oberon on tap and an American style menu for a good dining experience.

Winter is Over !!

It was 70' (F) today and upon going to Biggby for Dessert today I saw this:

I don't want winter to be here forever. It was cold, snowy and long this year. I want to spend time enjoying good summer weather.

Message to Corporate: Please send new banners.

Cafe Felix

Starting our spring with a meal at Cafe Felix because it is 70' (F) out and we can sit outside and watch people.

Fortunatly we had our pints of Oberon at hand since the service and food quality has gone down since our last visit.

Things to note:

1) Male waitstaff just is not as good as the female, nothing new about that here, same as before. The guys just don't take the time to "mingle", this is Ann Arbor after all.

2) First strange thing to note was that the tables were quite full and the kitchen has not started serving dinner until 5:00pm in the past. They were already well into dinner service at 4:55pm today.

3) The menu was longer then before (I can live with that)

4) The menu was printed on cardstock paper and hand cut in stead of using a paper trimmer for a clean edge, sloppy

5) The quality and size of dishes have changed: (a) Salmon dish is no longer with Norwegien Salmon, big differance in taste and texture, sause had more citrus then before, no longer melts in your mouth. (b) stuffed chicken was half the size as last year but the same price, the sauce had flavor but since the chicken lacked flavor the dish over all was a balance of blah.

6) The waiter never asked if we wanted dessert!!! Not that we were going to order any, we planed to skip it to go to Biggby, but he didn't know that.

Everybody loves Me!

After Dinner, Bangers and Mash with a Pint down at Grizzly Peak, we stopped by Biggby on Liberty for a dessert cuppa. Chris is the nice chap that took our order and he knew me right away, great customer connection. Jason came out while the drinks were in the works and was excited to see me, he knew me as well of course. I love this place. A few customers came in while I was waiting for our drinks and they got a photo taken with me too. It is great to be famous. People are great, and Biggby is a great place for coffee and meeting people. I also got the Naner Lady to get me a cool retro candy bar.

B Livonia

Went for a visit to the Livonia Michigan Store on Plymouth Road on Wednesday. Naner Lady was going to hang out with her art friends but I made her stop by along the way. Oi! I just realized we forgot to leave them one or three of my brillent moo cards, guess we have to go again...

February Biggby Tour

Oi!

We went for a mini vacation over the weekend and did a bit of a Biggby tour along the way.

A list of our stops:

#1 - Ann Arbor Washtenaw store

#4 - Kalamazoo Main street

In Jackson they had a guest book so I signed in (that's were this picture was taken)

In Kalamazoo barista Kelsey knew who I was, see I told you I was famous.

I'm still waiting for Corporate to make proper B buttons, not that the handmade one by the Naner Lady is bad but a "real" button would be great. I saw some great looking sweatshirts at the Jackson store that would be wonderful if they came in my size. Oi! I just remembered there was a bear at the Marshall store that I think was wearing a sweatshirt hoodie, I should have asked him about buying it off him......

I wonder how long it will take someone to find, they must have a sharp eye.

Mark's Midtown Coney Island

It is Cold and Snowy today. We stopped at Mark's on the way home for dinner. Our waitress put a huge stack of whip on my hot chocolate =9 We got lots of yummys from the menu: Coney Island special, Chili cheese fries, Onion rings, and a Coney Taco.

Now home with a Pint. Another tasty pintday.

Biggby's Moon Boot Latte

Sweet yumminess... mellow sauce and minty. Looky there are moon rocks on top!

Grizzly Peak hits the spots

We went to Grizzly Peak for a Pint and some Fish & Chips. Our server Jacob was a nice fellow, he made sure I got what I wanted =9 I had a delicious seasonal brew made right there and some of there tasty Fish & Chips. The Fish is Walleye (no not Wall-E, he is a robot not a fish), it was moist and delicious. The Chips are rather slim, but crispy and good. Thanks for the Great service Jacob, Have a wonderful New Year =)

Brunch at Denny's

We started going to a restaurant called Denny's every so often lately. This place is open all the time, it really is, 24 hours a day, that means they never close. The food is traditional american food and you can get breakfast any time you want to. We really like the one here in Ann Arbor because the people are so nice and friendly. Today we had Tammy as our waitress and she was really nice, I mean it! She did not look at me strange, she asked if I had everything I needed, and made sure I liked the food, just a wonderful personality. Keep up the great customer service Tammy! We find that the customer service is have the enjoyment of a restaurant, it is all about the people.

Always remember... Plushies have feelings too.

Pintday this week (December 19) also marks the begining of Holiday for Naner Lady and the Hand. They don't have to go back to work until January 5. We also had tons of snow today, at least 6 inches, and more to come on Saturday night.

Anyway, if you ever find yourself out by the University of Michigan hospital, take a quick trip down the road (Depot Street), past the Gandy Dancer (Posh but not my thing), under the bridge and across from the Amtrak station you will see Casey's Tavern. Great Fish & Chips! Wonderful Burgers! Well, everything on the menu is really good, trust me I know, I've tried it all!

Last Days of Summer

Bell's Oberon, and wonderful summer brew.

The last day's of summer are gone and Oberon will soon be replaced by Bell's Winter White.
For those not used to the fruit with a beer, the orange slice brings out the Cardimon & Citrus flavor. Crisp and delicious.

They raise money to help kids learn so that is really wonderful. Naner Lady and the Hand each have a T-shirt for the shop and we have a small robot too.

I think the Hand needs to make a robot for the house...hay Hand, get on that!

B Happy

The B Happy truck is parked at our Washtenaw store. Maybe because it is the first football game of the season and a lot of people drive down this road to get to the Big House. Doesn't matter to me why, I was just delighted to see it.

Pintday is coming !

We are doing Pintday a day early this week. Grizzly Peak is doing a special this August with Burger and a Pint. They have 4 specialty burgers to choose from: Texas, Buffalo (the beasty), Turkey and Brie, and Crabcake. The cost of the Burger includes chips (fries) and a Pint! The specials are Monday - Thursday and Naner Lady is scrapbooking after work on Friday, so I suggested Pintday a day early =9 I can be so sneeky, tee hee.

Note: this photo is from the day of our last blizzard during the spring, see the cool snow on the sign :) I feel it is fitting for the name, grrrrrrrrrrrrr

New Moo Cards !!!!

I'm so excited because my new Moo Cards arrived today !!! They have my name on the back as well as our email, flickr, and blogger addresses.

As you can see the first one is just a great image of me. The second two are with my favorite place to get a cuppa, Biggby Coffee. The last two are at my favorite Pintday spot, Casey's Tavern.

Thursday is the anniversary of the Washtenaw Biggby here in Ann Arbor and I will be around to get a cuppa in the morning and see what fun will be had in the evening. I will have some Moo cards for my fans and groupies.
